RF Over Fibre Component Modules - StingRay

Source: ETL Systems Ltd.

ETL Systems' standalone component StingRay RF over fibre module offers a low cost and compact space saving solution for links up to 10 km (Link budget 4 dB). They are ideal for smaller teleports, video head ends, TVRO and other single/few feed medium/long haul distribution applications.

StingRay FR over fibre modules consist of transmit (TX), and receive (RX) single modules. These modules are used to distribute short distance RF signals, and benefit from a high and wide dynamic range with automatic link optimisation. This ensures that high quality extended L-band signals are ready for Ku-band and Ka-band high throughput satellite applications.

The modules benefit from a DIL switch which provides local control. The TX module switch is used to adjust the LNB settings (13/18V and 22 kHz tone), and the RX module switch adjusts the AGC output power settings.

A -20 dB coupled port on each module provides input RF monitoring, and an LED provides power and status monitoring.

The modules are powered by single or dual redundant 12V supplies.
