RF Connector Series For Medical Applications Released

Löffingen, Germany -- IMS Connector Systems offer a new RF connector series for use in medical equipment.

Known as "MedLock" connectors, these connectors feature a quick-lock coupling mechanism instead of a threaded mechanism. The "MedLock" connectors have an extended connector housing which provides strain relief and prevents bending and damage to the cable. In this way the cable connectors offer electrical performance during the product's lifetime.

These medical RF connectors are suitable for applications up to 5800 MHz. The service load at 2.4 GHz is 500 Watt. Typical applications for "MedLock" connectors are therapeutic devices like magnetic field therapies as well as RF controlled medical measurement and monitoring systems.

Furthermore, IMS CS offers other standard RF connectors as well as customized RF components for medical equipment.
