Radiall Purchases RF Coaxial Connector Supplier AEP
New Haven, CT -- Radiall, a manufacturer of interconnection products for the defense, avionics, telecommunications, and automotive industries, today announced that it has acquired Applied Engineering Products, Inc. (AEP; New Haven, CT), a privately owned supplier of coaxial connectors for RF and ultra high frequencies.
AEP is one of the largest independent designers and manufacturers of the subminiature coaxial connectors and cable assemblies used in high reliability RF and microwave applications. Their products are sold primarily to manufacturers of military and avionics electronics equipment.
Radiall, who serves a similar customer base to AEP, also owns Radiall-Jerrik (Tempe, AZ), a manufacturer of multi-pin connectors for the military and aerospace markets, and Radiall-Larsen (Vancouver, WA), an antenna manufacturer.
Andre Hernandez, CEO of Radiall-America, Inc., stated that the acquisition of AEP was a vital step in enabling Radiall to offer a complete interconnection range to their U.S. customers in the defense and avionics industries. It and also highlights Radiall's commitment to their industry as a growing U.S. manufacturer, he claimed.
According to AEP, the merger will be transparent to its current customers, who will continue to interface with the same support team that served them in the past.
