N/Am introduces SectorShape antennas for LMDS hubs. Designed using a highly automated process that takes advantage of advanced EM analysis and artificial intelligence, these antennas provide excellent conformance to pattern requirements in point-to-multipoint systems. Shaped vertical patterns eliminate nulls and provide uniform coverage as a function of range. Down-tilt is achieved electrically rather than mechanically making integration with hub electronics straight forward and mounting hardware simpler. Shaped azimuth patterns insure uniform sector coverage, reduced spillover into adjacent cells, and lower backlobes.

Twelve standard models are available covering 24.5 to 32 GHz in three bands. Horizontal and vertical polarizations are available as well as both 45° and 90° azimuth coverage. Vertical beamwidths are in the range of 2.2 to 4° depending on the band and azimuth width. Better than 40 dB crosspolar rejection at all angles is achieved without the need for a polarizer. Gains for the 45° azimuth are typically 22.5 to 23.5 dBi while the 90° azimuth demonstrate gains of 20 to 21 dBi.

These antennas are weather sealed and UV hardened and optional heated radomes insure continued operation in ice and snow conditions. They can mate easily to poles or frames or ODU electronics packages.
