Bluffdale, UT -- Pacific Wireless announced the release of the new 2.4 GHz circular polarized antenna. The CP24-12 features a tight 37 degree beamwidth at 12dBi. The outdoor antenna is equipped with a standard N Female connector and stainless steel adjustable tilt bracket. The CP24-12 is DC grounded for lightning protection.

"As broadband wireless penetrates deeper and deeper into more and more markets, there is a growing need for wireless operators to expand their tool kit in order to be able to provide improved performance in a wider variety of installations," said Scott Parsons, Vice President of Business Development for Cushcraft's Pacific Wireless division. "The CP24 series circular polarized antennas will give the wireless operator one more important tool which can be used for those installations where line of site issues or tree penetration issues are hampering their efforts to optimize the performance at their client."

The Circular Polarized (CP) Antenna systems offered by Pacific Wireless are constructed of an aluminum alloy backplate with UV protected plastic radome. The antenna is right hand circular polarized (RHCP) to communicate with a wide variety of popular circularly polarized base station antennas available on the market. Because of the antenna's high gain, it is also useful as a point to point antenna. Circular polarization is effective at minimizing multipath and also has been proven effective at improving signal in installations where true line of sight is not possible. This technology also improves penetration through obstructions such as trees.
