Oak Frequency Control Group changes name to Corning Frequency Control

Source: Vectron International
Corning Frequency Control will be the new name for the Oak Frequency Control Group (OFCG). The name change is a result of Corning Inc.'s recent acquisition of Oak Industries, OFCG's former parent company. Corning Frequency Control will strengthen Corning Inc.'s position as an industry-leading supplier of opto-electronic and photonic devices to the telecommunications industry worldwide.

Facilities throughout North America, Europe, and Asia will begin to reflect the new Corning Incorporated logo in September 2000. Worldwide implementation of Corning Frequency Control's new look and name will continue into 2001.

All of the companies that formerly comprised OFCG will continue to operate as subsidiaries of Corning Frequency Control Inc. Several brand names are now consolidated into the Corning Frequency Control product line, including Croven Crystals (Whitby, ONT); HES (Kansas City, KS); McCoy Crystals (Mercersburg, PA); OCC (Shanghai, China); OFC (Mount Holly Springs, PA) and Piezo-Crystal (Carlisle, PA). In Europe, the Tele Quarz brand (Neckarbischofsheim, Germany) will be retained, along with the new Corning Frequency Control brand. The products and services within Corning Frequency Control will remain unchanged.
