NS Microwave to Use Macrovision System for Law Enforcement Surveillance

Microwave surveillance systems manufacturer NS Microwave will integrate the Macrovision Corp. VES-MX Minimux into covert video surveillance systems supplied to federal law enforcement agencies. The VES-MX Minimux is a video transmission multiplexer system that combines two video inputs for transmission over a single-channel wireless video link.

The VES-MX Minimux features an integrated, miniaturized design and DC-power operation. Designed to meet the most demanding remote applications, the VES-MX is highly portable and able to withstand rough handling and extreme environmental conditions. Each unit can operate as either a multiplexer or demultiplexer and will assume the appropriate operational mode automatically. No external controls need to be activated for basic system operation.

A provision is available to remotely control a multiplexing unit and activate a channel priority feature via a separate telemetry link. Applications for the VES-MX include surveillance, CCTV, distance learning, business TV, broadcast television newsgathering, and programming backhauls.
