Nordic Semiconductor To Reveal Leading Edge Of Smartphone Wireless Accessories At MWC With Over 25 Unique Product Demos Using Nordic ANT+ And Bluetooth Low Energy Wireless Technology

Ultra low power (ULP) RF specialist Nordic Semiconductor ASA recently announces that its booth at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona, Spain (Feb 27 -Mar 1) will host demonstrations of over 25 unique smartphone wireless accessories - most of which will not be on display anywhere else at the show - incorporating wireless technology from Nordic Semiconductor.
These wireless accessories will be shown operating with a wide range of leading smartphones including the iPhone 4S, Motorola Razr, HTC Rhyme, Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, and NEC Medias.
Smartphone accessory product demos will include wireless heart-rate monitors, bike speed and cadence monitors, proximity fob security sensors, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose monitors, foot pods/pedometers, weight scales, and watches.
Participating companies include National Electronics & Watch Company, Dexcom, Dayton Industrial, A&D Medical, Casio, IDT, Wahoo Fitness, HMM Group, and Tanita.
Nordic will also be showcasing its recently-launched nRFready iOS Demo App sample application for the iPhone 4S that can be used to fast-track ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart wireless app and accessory development. (A short on-line video can be viewed at: tinyurl.com/79gtb3p .)
