New Medium Power SiGe HBT Transistor Amplifiers Target Two-Way Radio, CATV

Santa Clara, CA -- California Eastern Laboratories (CEL) has announced the availability of two new medium power SiGe HBT transistor amplifiers from NEC.
The 800 mW NESG250134 and 1 Watt NESG260234 are designed for two-way radio applications like FRS (family radio service), GMRS (general mobile radio service), and SMR (specialized mobile radio). They deliver high gain with high collector efficiency, which helps to reduce DC power consumption in handheld, battery-powered products. They can also serve as low distortion amplifiers for return path applications in CATV infrastructure networks.
Performance specifications include:
NESG250134
- Output Power (@ 15 dBm PIN, 460 MHz): 29 dBm typ @ 3.6 V
- Output Power (@ 20 dBm PIN, 900 MHz): 29 dBm typ @ 3.6 V
- Max. Stable Gain (@ 460 MHz): 23 dB typ @ 3.6 V
NESG260234
- Output Power (@ 15 dBm PIN, 460 MHz): 30 dBm typ @ 6 V
- Output Power (@ 20 dBm PIN, 900 MHz): 30 dBm typ @ 6 V
- Max. Stable Gain (@ 460 MHz): 23 dB typ @ 6 V
The NESG250134 and NESG260234 are fabricated using NEC's latest UHS2-HV SiGe process. In stock and available now from California Eastern Labs, they're housed in NEC's high-isolation three pin power minimold "34" package. This package features Pb-Free terminals and is RoHS compliant.
