New Double Oven OCXO Offers Small Size, Low Power, Stability

Fort Myers, FL -- Fox Electronics has introduced a new double oven OCXO (oven controlled crystal oscillator) that offers a balance between stability and size and power consumption.
The new FDE/FDD505AH oscillator is ideal for use in high performance synthesizers, base stations, telecommunications products, and satellite receivers, as well as wireless and RF systems. In addition, it can achieve rubidium-like performance in precision standards when disciplined by GPS.
The new AH oscillator employs SC-cut (stress compensated) resonators in a proprietary, double oven design to provide excellent stability and low power operation. Its power rating is a maximum of 4 watts at turn-on and just 1 watt during use at 25°C while providing ±0.5 PPB stability. Aging is better than ±0.2 PPB per day. The device produces rectangular output and is available in standard Euro (FDE) or 25 mm² (FDD) packages.
