Narda Microwave products are designed and manufactured to meet the stringent quality and reliability requirements of military applications. The production technique of manufacturing large volume or standard amplifier modules with reliable alignment procedures ensures that even special end-use requirements can be achieved on the basis of proven module designs and production processes. With over thirty years of experience in Hi-Rel, military, and space markets, Narda West has a proven heritage of providing quality products to the microwave community.

Narda West developed and implemented a Quality Management System based upon the international standard, ISO 9001:2000, in order to document the company's best business practices, better satisfy the requirements and expectations of its customers, and to continually improve the quality of the products and effectiveness of our controls. The Quality System serves as a guide for Narda's employees to ensure consistent customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and to provide the necessary instructions to create an empowered work force. Quality inspectors provide the audit functions needed to ensure that all parts meet the rigid Narda quality standards and customer requirements. Narda West certifies bonding machines and operators twice daily using destruct pull samples and tracks results using SPC for all stations. This approach is used in lieu of non-destruct bond pull testing due to the close proximity and high concentration of bond wires in most designs. Assembly, inspection, and testing are based upon the requirements of MIL-STD-883. Test and measurements equipment is calibrated in accordance with MIL-STD-45662 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.

The design considerations for component de-rating, thermal constraints, manufacturing techniques, and hermetic cases ensure that reliability is designed and manfactured into the product. Specific care is taken in the thermal design of all components. Narda West has developed tools that allow engineers, technicians and level supervisors to quickly review the thermal performance of any of the products introduced to manufacturing.
