MXPM Sockets Datasheet

Source: HUBER+SUHNER

The HUBER+SUHNER MXPM PBS sockets are high-performance, multicoaxial connectors engineered for precision test and measurement applications requiring ultra-broadband signal integrity.

Designed with a 50-ohm impedance, these straight PCB jacks (female) are available in both 1x8 and 2x8 ganged configurations, offering compact, high-density connectivity with a center-to-center pitch of just 2.54 mm (0.1 inches). The sockets utilize a magnetic locking mechanism for easy and secure mating, supporting up to 500 cycles for durability in repeated use environments.

The MXPM interface, based on HUBER+SUHNER’s patented standard (US 8,360,807), delivers exceptional broadband electrical performance, operating reliably up to 90 GHz depending on the model. Across the 0–50 GHz range, these sockets maintain a return loss of 20 dB and a VSWR of 1.22. For the 50–90 GHz range, return loss is rated at 15 dB with a VSWR of 1.43, ensuring minimal signal degradation across extended frequency ranges.

Constructed from robust materials including SUCOPRO gold-plated brass for the outer conductor and body, stainless steel for structural reinforcement, and PEEK for dielectric insulation, the MXPM sockets offer mechanical and environmental resilience. They are compliant with both RoHS and REACH standards and operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 85°C.

Keyed and non-keyed versions are available, providing flexibility for design compatibility. Their compact form factor and reliable performance make MXPM PBS sockets ideal for high-speed digital testing, signal integrity validation, and dense test board implementations where precision and repeatability are essential.
