Most Popular FCC GROL Exam With Newest Exam Pools Available Offered At ETA
ETA International, one of only nine FCC Commercial Operator License Examination Managers (COLEM) in the nation, currently offers all of the FCC Commercial Radio Operator License exams. You need a Commercial Operator License to operate and/or repair and maintain specified ship, aircraft and international fixed public radiocommunication stations. The broadcast, aeronautics and maritime industries are the primary employers of commercial license holders. However, many fields are now requiring FCC licenses. To gain solid ground towards securing a future in any of these rewarding areas you must be licensed.
The seven FCC licenses and endorsements offered with ETA International are:
- General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) - Element 1 & 3
- Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP) – Element 1
- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Operator (GMDSS) - Elements 1 & 7
- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Restricted (GMDSS) - Elements 1 & 7
- Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Maintainer (GMDSS) - Elements 1, 3, & 9
- T-Radiotelegraph Certificate
- Ship Radar Endorsement – Element 8
The most popular FCC license offered by ETA International, the General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) – Elements 1 & 3, based on newer exam pools released in December 2009, is now required by many of the major players in the telecommunications industry. With the newer exam pools, 80% of the pool for Element 3, covering wireless communications, was changed. The GROL is required to adjust, maintain, or internally repair FCC licensed radiotelephone transmitters in aviation, maritime and international fixed public radio services. This license also conveys the operating authority of the MROP.
The GROL is required to operate maritime land radio stations and voluntarily equipped ship and aeronautical stations. The GROL (now a lifetime Commercial FCC certification) is offered at ETA International for $50 (if taken during one sitting).
ETA offers the license exams online and paper and must be administered by an ETA Certification Administrator. The Montgomery GI Bill also covers FCC exams for reimbursement for qualified military personnel.
ETA International also offers the latest study materials for FCC exams. These can be purchased in print or computer formats and contains the COMPLETE EXAM QUESTION POOLS from which the actual tests are selected. The FCC Commercial License Preparation Study Manual "GROL + RADAR" contains everything you need to know to study and pass the GROL, MROP, and RADAR. Exams and study material are available through ETA International.
