Power amplifier MMIC devices covering the 19 to 41 GHz frequency band were designed on the company's 0.25 micron, power pHEMT GaAs production process to provide the highest possible millimeter wave performance. The four devices, designated the TGA1073A, B, C, and G, exhibit linear (low distortion) characteristics, small physical size per Watt of output power.
These ICs directly address performance transmission requirements for a wide variety of millimeter wave-based digital communications systems such as point-to-point microwave radios in the 23, 26, 30, and 38 GHz bands; Local Multipoint Distribution (or Communications) Systems (LMD/CS) in the 27 to 31 GHz bands; 40 to 42 GHz Microwave Video Distribution Systems (MVDS) for Europe; and Internet-in-the-Sky satellite systems operating in Ka-band (19 and 29 GHz).
