MathSoft Releases Mathcad Wavelets Package

Calculation and analytical software developer MathSoft has introduced a wavelet extension pack for its Mathcad 8 Professional users.

The new extension pack includes more than 60 wavelet functions covering five orthogonal and bi-orthogonal families. These wavelets can be used by designers for signal reconstruction, de-noising, data compression, and spectral numerical methods.

The new wavelet package works with existing Mathcad extension packs, such as the signal processing and image processing products. When combined, the packs provide a library of functional tools for electrical engineers using Mathcad 8 Professional during the design process.
