Giga-tronics announced that Malcolm Levy has joined Giga-tronics as Vice President of Sales and Marketing effective on September 8th, 2008.

Levy has over 25 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the Test & Measurement industry. His career started in sales with Racal Instruments in the UK. A background in RF and Communications made him an ideal candidate to move to the US and become the sales and marketing manager for all UK manufactured instruments, including low noise fast switching frequency synthesizers. His final position at Racal Instruments was Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Since leaving Racal in 2001 he has helped wireless communications test companies grow their international business.

"Under Levy's leadership, Giga-tronics strengthens its Sales and Marketing team focused on delivering high performance test and measurement solutions to its customer," said John Regazzi, CEO.

As part of the international expansion effort, Rodrick Cross will become Vice President of Japan Business Development. Regazzi said, "Japan is key to Giga-tronics' international growth strategy and with Cross's knowledge and experience in place including his language fluency in Japanese, we are well positioned for the future." Cross has spent many years in Japan and he is responsible for developing a large number of key accounts there.

Additionally, Giga-tronics has added a Business Development Manager, Simon Thomas to the Sales and Marketing team. Thomas comes to us with excellent sales experience from companies such as Le Croy, CATC, and SyntheSys Research. "We hired Thomas to develop business within the ATE systems integrator market space, help introduce our new power amplifier products, and to assist with our growth initiatives in Asia," said Regazzi.
