M/A-COM has announced three new driver amplifiers, extending the existing family of broadband, high linearity driver amplifiers. The broad frequency range, high linearity and high reliability make this M/A-COM product family suitable for a variety of wireless applications, such as basestations, WiMax, and WiBro.
The MAAMSS0048, MAAMSS0049 and MAAMSS0050 are gain blocks with output P1dB levels of 27 dBm, 28.5 dBm and 30 dBm, respectively. These driver amplifiers are suitable for basestations, WiBro, WiMAX and a host of other applications. This power amplifier family is fabricated using a high reliability GaAs HBT process and achieves high 3rd order output intercept performance over a wide power range. The usable bandwidth for this family of amplifiers is very broad, 250 MHz to 4000 MHz. The amplifier(s) can be optimized for a specific frequency range with external matching components. All the amplifiers in this family are housed in Pb-free, RoHS compliant SOT-89 plastic packages.
