Live From IMS2011: Radio Component Demonstration

Kees Schetters, director of marketing, Wireless Infrastructure, at NXP Semiconductors, provides a radio component demonstration using NXP RF products. He looks at the full transmit channel lineup, including IQ modulator, transmit RF VGA, synthesizers, and more, as well as the full receive channel lineup, including two LNAs, mixer, and IF VGA. Schetters highlights the characteristics of the IQ modulator, which can be switched on and off within a microsecond to reduce power use, and the cubic silicon germanium-based LNA, which has a noise figure below .7 dB.
