Ka-band Satellite Simulators: LSS Series
The LSS series of Ka-band satellite simulators are designed to enable completely portable RF mobile satellite communications systems testing without the need for cabling. They are equipped with dual polarized horn antennas in both the uplink and downlink bands. For each frequency conversion, a separate attenuator provides adjustments of signal levels in order to accommodate receiver sensitivity and range distance.
These satellite simulators are powered by a 12 V, 14 AH internal batteries for 24 hours of operation time. An external charger is supplied with each instrument, but the option is available for an internal chrger for direct 100-240 V 50/60 Hz input. The internal high stability 10 MHz OCXO reference completes the devices’ self-contained operation.
