How Do You Calculate Rise Time And Video Bandwidth?

Video bandwidth and rise time are two important parameters that help determine the capabilities of a sensor. Video bandwidth refers to the frequency range in a sensor that can track a signal's fluctuations in envelope power. Rise time, on the other hand, describes the time it takes for a signal's leading edge to rise from a low value (such as 10% of the pulse magnitude) to a high value (such as 90% of the pulse magnitude). It is important to note that there is an inverse relationship between video bandwidth and rise time. In other words, as video bandwidth increases, rise time decreases, and vice versa. If you are interested in calculating both parameters, there is a formula that you can use, which is supported by measurement examples. You can learn more about this formula and how it works in this video.
