Highly Reliable Coaxial Switches With Options For Countless Applications

Source: dB Control

By Keith Kulyk and Keith Charti, Charter Engineering, Inc.

Coaxial switch customers require a variety of options for reliable switching in repeatable, high-power, extreme temperature, or custom switches. However, customers accustomed to a lack of options — this switch can only handle low power, or that one only offers momentary actuation — may not realize that a wide variety of options-packed coaxial switches are available through a single supplier.
While other vendors simply single out specific switches that might be capable of meeting a customer’s requirements (i.e., a failsafe actuator at 28 Vdc), CEI strives to offer all options for each of its switch series. This facilitates the use of each series in aerospace, defense, or other applications.
CEI’s built-to-order product lines accommodate unique customer needs while providing the fast delivery and cost benefits of off-the-shelf components. Additionally, our knowledgeable customer service professionals can simplify the selection process from among the numerous available options — voltages, actuators, interfaces, etc.  — to enable customers to confidently select the product that best meets their needs.
Often, when designing a switch, we do not know the customer’s application, and thus must be prepared to accommodate any specification request. The ability to base our new product development on customer requests outside of our current product lineup has more than doubled the number of products CEI offers since the company was founded 32 years ago.
