Handheld RF Spectrum Analyzer For VHF, UHF, And 2.4 GHz Introduced

Atlanta Georgia -- Mark Kaltman, president of Kaltman Creations LLC, has announced the addition of a low-cost, handheld, RF spectrum analyzer to its product line. The first in the company's new analyzer series, the Spectran HF4040 addresses frequency selection, interference identification, RF system monitoring, testing, and exposure limits. The HF4040 frequency range is from 10 MHz up to 4 GHz, making it suitable for analyzing VHF, UHF, and 2.4GHz and higher environments.

Kaltman said, "The timing for this product couldn't be better with the exponential use of wireless technology along with the shrinking of some wireless bands. The increased challenges of identifying interference and finding available frequencies are in some cases becoming unmanageable."

In addition to the HF4040's standard frequency sweep readings and signal strength readouts, the unit features display markers which display the 3 strongest peaks and their associated frequencies during each sweep. There is also a powerful Zoom feature which allows the user to narrow the frequency span down to below 100 KHz. The HF4040 will also perform extended data logging and long term peak hold recording.

The HF4040 is sold in a system package which includes a SMA full range antenna, a log periodic precision directional antenna, batteries and charger (charger doubles as an AC adaptor), PC software for enhanced visual monitoring, a mini tripod stand, and an aluminum carrying case. Kaltman Creations has pre-configured the HF4040's 10 hot keys to address the North America RF bands Wi-Fi, industrial remotes, wireless microphone, assisted listening, telco/cellular, intercom, and radio/TV broadcast. The end user can also reprogram the hot keys plus manually set up any frequency sweep range.
