Glowlink Wins FAA Contract For Satellite Carrier Monitoring System
Glowlink announced recently that it has been awarded a competitive contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a satellite Carrier Monitoring System (CMS) to manage FAA satellite communications traffic in Alaska and the continental United States.
Under the contract, Glowlink will deliver, install, and integrate the CMS with the FAA's existing satellite network management infrastructure, and provide training.
The FAA CMS comes with the Glowlink Model 1000's state-of-the-art Signal- under-Carrier (SunCar™) technology, which can detect a wide range of carrier-under-carrier interferences. The CMS is also equipped with Glowlink's TOP™ technology to monitor the health of satellite transponders leased by the FAA, as well as a suite of advanced signal analysis tools to assist the FAA in managing today's complex communications traffic environment.
"We are proud of this contract award," said Bob Estus, Vice President of Operations, Glowlink. "The FAA went through an extremely rigorous qualification process of all the DSP-based carrier monitoring products on the market. In the end, Glowlink's solution prevailed due to the Model 1000's advanced features, price performance ratio, and outstanding track record."
