Gilbert Engineering
Gilbert is also one of the leading manufacturers of microwave connectors, offering sub-miniature microwave products with broadband RF performance from DC to 65 GHz. Design innovation for high-frequency miniaturized RF interconnection.
With over 30 years of proven field experience, Gilbert is widely acknowledged for its unparalleled quality and reliability. The GRS 3-piece trunk & distribution connector series offers the advantage of independent seizing of the center and outer conductors of the cable, providing an assurance of proper installation. It also has enjoyed a favored status from installers and field technicians, providing higher levels of productivity and greater field acceptance.
Gilbert has four manufacturing facilities, collectively with over 325,000 square feet, all operating under ISO 9000 certification standards.Connectors sold under the Gilbert brand name are manufactured in facilities in Glendale and Phoenix, Arizona. Gilbert's two European operations, Cabel-Con and S.A.E., are based in Vordingborg, Denmark and Amboise, France respectively. In addition to manufacturing connectors for the cable television market, Cabel-Con produces 50 Ohm connectors for PCS and other wireless applications.
Gilbert has made significant investments in expanding its manufacturing operations and in developing advanced research capabilities. Through its Rapid Concepts product development facility, Gilbert is able to shorten product design cycles from weeks to just hours, and to expedite the delivery of products that address specialized customer applications.
Our product innovation is exemplified by the new UltraSeal compression "F" connector line, which provides superior sealing and shielding performance required for today's high bandwidth, two-way and digital networks.
Gilbert is a subsidiary of Oak Industries, Inc., which is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered components designed and sold to manufacturers and service providers in the communications and other selected industries. Oak's communications components consist primarily of coaxial connectors for the CATV industry, frequency control devices used in wireless base stations and telecommunications applications, and DWDM fiber-optic components for the wired telephony infrastructure.
