13.75 - 20 GHz GaAs Low Noise Amplifier: QPA2735 Datasheet

Source: Qorvo

The QPA2735 is a high-performance, packaged Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) designed for use in the 13 to 20 GHz frequency range. Fabricated on Qorvo's 90nm PHEMT process, this amplifier is specifically optimized for applications such as satellite and point-to-point communication systems.

Key electrical specifications for the QPA2735 are impressive, featuring a typical Small Signal Gain of 25.5 dB and an excellent Noise Figure of 1.3 dB. Its power characteristics include a Power at 1 dB Compression of 18 dBm and a typical Saturation Power of 23 dBm6.

The LNA comes in a small, easy-to-handle plastic over-mold QFN package. It is matched to 50 ohms and features integrated DC-blocking capacitors on both I/O ports, simplifying system integration. The device features a three-stage internal block diagram, with individual pins for stage drain and gate voltages. The data sheet also provides a detailed bias-up and bias-down procedure for safe operation, as well as performance plots covering gain, noise figure, and linearity across temperature, voltage, and current variations.
