Frequency Synthesizer Designed For ISM-Band RF Ablation Applications

lxpic

EM Research recently launched a frequency synthesizer designed for ISM-band RF ablation applications. The LX-2400 Series operates at fixed frequencies between 2400 and 2480 MHz, supporting RF Ablation Probes for use in minimally-invasive cancer treatment systems inside hospital operating rooms.

Housed in a small surface-mount package, 0.75" x 0.75" x 0.15" (19mm x 19mm x 3.8mm), the LX-2400 is supplied with an internal reference and features excellent phase noise, typically <-85 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset. The LX-2400 is available with outputs of 0 dBm to +10 dBm and operates off +3.3, +5 or +8 VDC with extremely low power consumption. This product is a versatile, custom source ideal for use in ISM-Band and other commercial applications requiring small, cost-effective frequency synthesizers, with excellent performance.
