Fractal Announces Wall-Mounted In-Building Wireless Antenna
The UASM Antenna's continuous operation from UHF into C-band microwave frequencies covers the requirements of public safety and security through cellular, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and other high speed wireless network bands. The antenna's wide frequency range protects in-building wireless infrastructure investment by future-proofing the installation as new standards and frequency allocations emerge.
"With in-building wireless systems extending into structures such as parking garages, malls and other buildings constructed of cement and other hard surfaces; small, wall-mounted fractal antennas quickly and easily overcome installation issues that prevent ubiquitous wireless connectivity," said David Moschella, President and CEO of Fractal Antenna Systems, Inc.
The UASM antenna is easily mounted on a hard surface, where its compact fractal antenna design is inconspicuous and low profile. Operating over 380 MHz to 4 GHz, the antenna provides a hemi-toroidal pattern with typical gain of 2 dBi that can be oriented to deliver vertical, horizontal, or slant linear polarization.
The antenna is very small (11.5 inches (30 cm) square by 0.7 inches (1.8 cm) thin) and light (0.8 lbs (360 g). The UASM antenna is available for immediate order.
