EMC Launches Surface-Mount Technology Frequency Equalizers

emctechpr

Stuart, FL -- EMC Technology introduces a line of surface-mount technology (SMT) equalizers designed to compensate frequency slopes in microwave amplifiers, subsystems, and systems.

These miniature equalizers (0.130 sq in, 3.30 sq mm) offer linear broadband frequency slopes available between 1.0 and 3.0 dB with start and stop bands from 2 GHz to 15.0 GHz respectively. The device architecture can be scaled in both amplitude and frequency to create equalization slopes matched to customer's unique requirements.

The new EMC equalizers use an all passive construction designed to specifically offset amplitude variations, which result from impedance mismatch from discrete components, transmission lines, and active devices.

About EMC Technology
EMC Technology, a Smiths Group company, provides custom-engineered solutions and a full line of surface mount terminations, attenuators, equalizers and other passive resistive components. EMC Technology developed the Thermopad? temperature compensating attenuator, a passive component solution to temperature compensation problems, and the Smart Load? temperature compensated true RMS power sensing termination. These products are protected by two of the 27 U.S. patents awarded to EMC. Since its founding in 1963, EMC Technology has established itself as the technology leader in supplying engineering-based solutions in RF and microwave passive components.
