Elcom Announces HF-VHF/UHF-MW Receivers And Downconverters For SIGINT Applications

Rockleigh, NJ – Elcom Technologies, Inc. announced recently the release of its new SIGINT FlxGen family of HF-VHF/UHF-MW Receivers and Downconverters. These products feature a new generation of flexible, high performance SIGINT sensors that combine proprietary RF topologies with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) DSP hardware.

The FlxGen series includes six receivers and downconverters ranging from 10 KHz to 40 GHz and offers the flexibility to control IF bandwidths, IF frequencies, application specific functions and communications protocols / formats. In addition, the end user can use the proprietary DSP architecture to embed mission sensitive signal analysis and detection schemes. The modular architecture also allows for adaptation to multiple form factors depending on the end user environment.

"The FlxGen series represents a new generation of receivers and converters using the latest DSP technologies to the specific needs of the end user. We recognized that in today's real time threat environment one size does not fit all. Our goal was to provide the end user a tool that could expedite the detect, define, defend decision making process. In addition, we wanted to allow for the replacement of legacy receivers from multiple vendors with a single vendor solution, reducing repair, training and maintenance costs. When coupled with our achievements in low noise RF design and SFDR (Spurious Free Dynamic Range) we believe FlxGen represents a compelling value proposition for the SIGINT community. Initial orders in excess of $3M seem to support that view." Said Jim Davis, CEO of Elcom Technologies.

Elcom designs and manufactures RF and Microwave instruments and modules for ATE, Aerospace/ Defense, SIGINT and SATCOM applications.
