The GDM1100 leverages advanced, proprietary and patent-pending RF designs to give OEM manufacturers a Bluetooth RF CMOS platform to build upon. The GDM1100 integrates onto one CMOS chip both RF front-end and modem capabilities.
The radio IC portion employs a direct conversion scheme. As well, the GDM1100 is a frequency hopping, 2.4 GHz single chip solution with raw data rates of 1 Mbit/sec. It reaches data transmission ranges of approximately 30 feet. It also features good adjacent channel selectivity (C/I -6dB @ 1MHz offset frequency) and a 60 dB receiver dynamic range.
