Diamonex, Inc.
Diamonex is engaged in the manufacture and sale of high-performance products whose functionality is enabled or substantially enhanced by the use of diamond or DLC materials. The Company develops its products and designs and constructs its research and manufacturing equipment based on proprietary technology developed internally and licensed from third parties. Representative products by market segment are presented below.
Electronics. The Company manufactures and sells chemical vapor deposited polycrystalline diamond (CVD Diamond) substrates (i.e. coated wafers and free-standing materials), thermal management components (including laser diode and LED submounts, heat spreaders, advanced packaging substrates and components for multi-chip modules, high-power FETs and microwave devices), DIABOND™ Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) pad conditioners, and diamond-coated components used in wafer processing tools.
Transparencies and Optics. Diamonex manufactures and sells DLC-coated glass and plastic transparencies for premium industrial markets. The Company developed and has sold AEGISGLASS® wear-resistant glass used by all major supermarket bar code scanner OEMs for over five years. Diamonex has also developed the advanced DIAMONDSHIELD™ coating for protecting prescription eyeglass, sunwear, and sports optics.
Data Storage. Diamonex has developed and sells ion beam equipment and processes for deposition of ultra-thin NILAD™ and DLC protective overcoats for magnetic discs and magnetic heads. The Diamonex equipment is unique in its simplicity of design, and flexibility and robustness of operation in this demanding manufacturing environment. Coating services for magnetic heads and other components are also provided.
Decorative & Protective Coatings. Diamonex provides DLC coating services for a variety of industrial and consumer product applications, spanning applications such as photomasks, microphone diaphragms, thermal print heads, machine components, consumer items and sports equipment.
