dB Control, an established manufacturer known for its reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar/electronic countermeasure (ECM) transmitters and power supplies, has been awarded a five-year contract worth over $50M. The contract is to design and manufacture TWT-based, high-power transmitters that are to be integrated into a military airborne system. In addition to manufacturing the transmitter hardware at its secure, 40,000 square-foot facility in Fremont, Calif., the contract includes several additional items; including ongoing engineering, technical and logistical support services and data.

Although terms of the contract prohibit the company from naming the customer, product specifications or the program, dB Control notes that this is its largest single contract since the company’s founding in 1990.

"In military airborne, mission-critical systems, reliable transmitters are essential for detecting potential threats quickly and accurately. In many situations, this can be a matter of life or death for military personnel," said dB Control CEO Joe Hajduk. "The reliability of our products is one of the primary reasons we were awarded this contract. dB Control is proud to help ensure the safety of our armed forces."
