dB-4123C Microwave Power Module Datasheet
The dB-4123C is a high-performance microwave power module (MPM) developed by dB Control, designed for electronic countermeasures (ECM), electronic warfare (EW) simulation, and multi-band communication systems.
Operating in the 6 to 18 GHz frequency range, it delivers a minimum of 150 Watts of continuous wave (CW) or pulsed RF output power. The RF signal chain integrates a solid-state amplifier and a vacuum power booster, supported by a low-noise, high-efficiency power supply and a high-speed modulator capable of pulse modulation up to 10 kHz.
Compact and conduction-cooled, the dB-4123C is engineered to endure extreme military environments. It features robust protection systems against over-current, over-voltage, and overheating, and includes diagnostic indicators for equipment status and faults. The device accepts discrete logic or TTL input and offers differential or TTL modulation control.
Electrically, the unit offers 51 dB gain at rated power, low harmonic and spurious emissions, and operates reliably with a VSWR up to 2.5:1. It consumes up to 900 Watts of power and supports operation from either a 270 VDC or optional 28 VDC power source.
Mechanically, the unit measures 12.5 x 10.9 x 2.4 inches and weighs 13.5 pounds. It includes SMA and TNC connectors and is designed for conduction cooling. The module withstands harsh conditions, including wide temperature ranges (−40°C to +75°C), altitudes up to 50,000 feet, and high humidity environments.
dB Control, a HEICO subsidiary, specializes in high-power RF/microwave components and support services for defense and aerospace applications.
