<%=company1%> (Newport Beach, CA) latest chipset family for DSS cordless phones supports caller ID, two-line, speakerphone, and voice messaging for both the 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands, allowing phone manufacturers to produce a complete line of cordless phones based on one complete chipset solution. DSS technology provides the longest range, greatest clarity, and highest security available in a cordless phone.

The company's cordless solution consists of a 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz transceiver, an RF power amplifier, and a baseband device. Since Conexant's 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz solutions use the same baseband technology, only the radio must be modified to make a 2.4 GHz phone resulting in more streamlined design cycles and faster time-to-market.

Furthermore, Conexant is among the first to support Multiple Extension Interfacing (MEI) hardware and software, which optimizes caller ID functionality between multiple phones. The chips' flexible hardware and software architecture makes it easy for customers to customize their own products.

Available now, Conexant's new DSS chipsets are priced starting at $25 in quantities of 100K.
