Our coils and transformers are designed to suppress parasitics (IP3, distributed capacitance,cross talk,etc.)while maintaining High Reliability, High Q and a Low Temperature Constant. This is the best place to start when designing Filter and Precise circuits for RF.

It's not just our years of experience that make us the ideal go-to source for government communications related projects. The fact that we measure temperature coefficient (TC) even though it is not easily controllable over a production run sets us apart from other coil companies. (Not only do we measure this parameter, we also guarantee it to be less than 30 PPM/Degrees C for the Q2 version and under 35 PPM/Degrees C for the miniature Q3 and Q3SMT type.)

High Q alone does not guarantee good filter performance. The importance of the stability of the circuit under varying temperature conditions cannot be understated. Mission critical components for government communications applications should be held to the highest standards possible.

Materials features for our aerospace/government communications are as follows:

  • Pins are tin plated
  • Coil base is made of temperature resistant DAP.
  • Coil form is made of glass woven polyester
  • The core structure of the coil consists of cup core and a threaded center core which combine to give good magnetic shielding.
  • Both core elements are made of powdered iron to minimize performance variation with temperature.
  • Electrostatic shield consists of a tin plated copper can.

All coils for government communications/aerospace applications are RoHS and EU compliant in all CQC part #s, and are space qualified.
