Cobot, The Collaborative Robot – Get Ready For Industry 4.0

Altair’s new cobot – a complex machine interacting with a human operator – is an example of a new successful design method with the use of simulation tools in industry 4.0. When creating complex products such as this, engineers must consider the entire mechatronics system, including structure, sensors, actuators with dynamic controls, electromagnetic compatibility. They must also interconnect machines for more flexibility, and increase productivity optimizing the maintenance process.
