Case Study: Using FEKO® To Reduce Heating During MRI For Deep Brain Stimulation
Source: Altair Engineering Inc
Research at the Department of Medical Biophysics at the Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) aims to develop and demonstrate the application of new technologies for brain imaging. A recent project focused on developing ways to try and safely image patients with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), and reducing the heat created during an MRI as a result implant interaction with RF transmission fields. This case study details how FEKO® simulation software was used to create the electrical and magnetic fields required for imaging in an MRI environment. Download the case study for the full story.
