Canam Technology Inc. HITAC Systems are used in highway tunnels for rebroadcasting the AM (530 1620 kHz ) and FM (88-108 MHz) commercial broadcast bands.This system features an optional emergency voice override on all stations within both AMand FM broadcast bands. This system also permits locally produced messages to be heard within the tunnel area regardless of which station the radios are tuned to .

European AM systems (200 kHz 400 kHz) can also be furnished. All systems operate from either 115-120 VAC, 60 Hz or 220-240 VAC, 50 Hz.

In addition to the override option, the HITAC System provides a unique radiating element, (Twin-Lead Radiators) within the tunnel area that can simultaneously support both AM and FM Rebroadcasting and Two-Way Radio Communications.
