California Eastern Laboratories Appoints Minton As President
Santa Clara, CA -- California Eastern Laboratories announced the promotion of Paul Minton to the position of president. Minton has had a long relationship with CEL, serving most recently as the company's executive VP. He has held a seat on CEL's Board of Directors for four years. Minton takes over the position from Jerry Arden, who served as CEL's president for the last 16 years. Arden will remain on as the company's CEO and chairman.
"The industry has had a rough couple of years," Arden said. "While we've had our share of problems, CEL has come through this difficult period in better shape than many of our competitors. Much of this can be attributed to Paul's management expertise."
"CEL's world is changing rapidly. Globalization, outsourcing, and a variety of other factors are changing the way we do business," Minton added. "I'm looking forward to working with the many talented people at CEL, and with our partners at NEC, to develop new ways to collaborate with our customers. We want to be able to help our customers identify and execute new solutions, and help them deliver the results they have promised their customers and investors."
Minton earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree at Stanford University. Prior to joining CEL, he directed the Western Regional office of the Center for Simplified Strategic Planning, where he helped develop go-to-market strategies for clients including Cisco Systems Capital, Toshiba Medical Systems, Octel Communications, and CEL.
