BTA Develops RF Model Builder

San Jose, CA-based BTA Technology Inc. has unveiled RF-Pro, a design tool that allows engineers to create RF models for portable wireless system designs. Using this tool, designers can measure RF data and automate the extraction and optimization of its model parameters. By doing this, BTA says the tool creates accurate RF models in a quicker timeframe.

RF-Pro is a high-frequency modeling solution that automates the entire RF model generation process starting from data measurement to parameter extraction to parameter optimization. It also offers a range of specialized capabilities such as measurement setup calibration, parasitic de-embedding, device unity gain frequency (ft) and power gain frequency (fmax) extraction, user-customizable extraction routines, user-customizable optimization routines, and an interface into Avant! HSPICE and Cadence SPECTRE-RF for subcircuit optimization. RF-Pro also can interface with BSIMPro, BTA Technology's DC/AC SPICE model parameter extraction tool for simultaneous DC, AC, and RF model parameter extraction and optimization.

US pricing for RF-Pro for CMOS designs starts at $55,000. For more information on this tool, contact BTA at 408-451-1210.
