Avago Launches LNAs For WiMAX/Wi-Fi And 3G Cellular Infrastructure

San Jose, CA -- Avago Technologies announced a new family of low noise amplifiers (LNAs) that are optimized for GSM, CDMA2000, WCDMA, and WiMAX base stations and repeaters. In addition, the company also launched a line of LNAs for WiBro and satellite digital multimedia broadband (S-DMB) applications.

With a built-in active bias circuit and current adjustable features, Avago's miniature MGA-631P8 and -632P8 are specifically designed for integration into the receiver chain for GSM, CDMA2000, WCDMA, and WiMAX base stations and repeaters. By integrating the external bias circuit into the chip, Avago's MGA-631P8 and 632P8 provide better temperature response and reduce PCB space. Avago's miniature MGA-631P8 and -632P8 LNAs are available in 2.0 x 2.0 x 0.75 mm leadless packages.

Optimized for base station equipment used in 802.11 b/g, WiMAX, WiBro, and satellite digital multimedia broadband (S-DMB) applications, Avago's MGA-645T6 is an LNA with integrated bypass switch and shut down function. The MGA-645T6 operates in the 2.4 GHz spectrum and delivers a noise figure of 1.1 db. Additionally, the low-profile MGA-645T6 ships in a 2.0 x 1.3 x 0.4 mm package.

All products are available now through Avago's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution partners.
