Applications For Directional Hybrid Couplers
A directional hybrid coupler can be used in a wide variety of applications including designing in-building RF distribution systems, signal samplers, and combining transmitters on to a single antenna. When designing in-building RF distribution systems, it is essential to split RF power between two lines with a directional coupler. Hybrid couplers have also been used to monitor system performance, sample output power levels in signal samplers, and used to combine two or more close channels while providing required isolation when combining transmitters to a single antenna. Download the application note for in-depth information on specific examples and scenarios using directional hybrid couplers.
