Alpha Networks Selects Azimuth Test Platform For Wireless Product Validation

Taipei, Taiwan -- Azimuth Systems Inc. announced that Alpha Networks is employing Azimuth's W-Series 802.11 test platform.

"As a leading worldwide manufacturer, we are committed to quality, perfection and innovation," said Tim Kang, CTO of Alpha Networks. "By allowing us to accurately validate the performance of our wireless equipment, Azimuth's unmatched testing capabilities will help improve the overall efficiency of our design process while reducing the time and costs associated with product testing."

"We're pleased to see Alpha's commitment to bringing products to market quickly by leveraging our automated test tools," said Ray Cronin, CEO of Azimuth Systems. "To facilitate accurate Wi-Fi testing, Azimuth's equipment employs breakthrough technologies such as its patented SmartMotion attenuation system and RadioProof enclosures, which help companies like Alpha Networks meet the testing requirements of today and into tomorrow."

Azimuth claims its W-Series is the industry's first standardized test platform for automated system level testing of IEEE 802.11 wireless access points, clients and other devices. The system configures an entire Wi-Fi network in a bench top chassis that provides complete Radio Frequency (RF) isolation and control, enabling evaluation of Wi-Fi equipment under varying mobility conditions and traffic patterns, and precise analysis of results. Azimuth's patented system approach offers a suitable environment for design validation and system performance testing in addition to certification and conformance testing.

Azimuth's product line also includes the ACE 400NB multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel emulator for testing Wi-Fi products, and the MIMO-ready RadioProof enclosures.
