Agilent Technologies Announces Industry-Standard LCR Meter With Three Cost-Effective Options

Agilent Technologies Inc. recently announced the E4980AL precision LCR meter with three cost-effective frequency options: 300 kHz, 500 kHz and 1 MHz. The new meter options are a follow-on to Agilent's industry-standard E4980A LCR meter, which has long offered the best price/performance and application breadth among basic LCR meters.

The Agilent LCR meter is mainly used for component characterization at component manufacturers and for component evaluation at electronic equipment manufacturers. It is also used in material measurement applications typically found in research and development as well as education.

"We understand our customers are looking for lower-cost LCR meter solutions, so we designed our new meters to meet their budget requirements while still providing the best combination of accuracy, speed and versatility." said Akira Nukiyama, general manager of Agilent's Component Test Division in Kobe, Japan. "Additionally, customers can easily upgrade to extend their frequency as needs change - offering investment protection for the future."
