ADC Telecommunications Reports Record Second Quarter 1999 Results

With strong revenues from the Broadband Connectivity, Residential Broadband, and Integrated Solutions product groups, ADC Telecommunications Inc. (Minneapolis) saw second quarter fiscal 1999 (ended April 30) sales of $420.0 million, an increase of 26% from the $335.0 million in the comparable quarter of 1998.

Net income for the quarter was $45.0 million ($0.32 per diluted share), increasing 31% in this year's second quarter from $34.0 million ($0.25 per diluted share) in the second quarter of 1998.
