This ceramic chip antenna provides a cost effective solution for space constrained applications such as RFID and Zigbee. The antenna is very compact (7x2x0.8 mm) and offers excellent performance with an average gain of -4.0 dBi (XZ-total), with PCB assemblies as small as 50x20mm.
Texas Instruments is one of the first adopters of this miniature antenna in their reference design for the CC1111 - the company's first sub-1 GHz RF system-on-chip (SoC) with an integrated full-speed USB controller.
The 0915AT43A0026, a similar solution for the US 915 MHz ISM band, is due to be introduced early next year.
