8-Bit Digital Phase Shifters

The new 8-bit digital phase shifters from Pasternack Enterprises are programmable over a full 360° range, and can produce a discrete set of phase states up to 255 total steps with 1.4° increments. With high level accuracy and minimal phase shift error, these 4 new models cover broadband, microwave, and millimeter wave frequencies. Ideal applications include aerospace, defense, radar, and EW applications involving phased-array antennas, phase discriminators, beam forming networks, and RF communication systems.

The digital phase shifters are made with highly integrated hybrid MIC design architecture. This offers greater immunity to noise, uniform performance from unit to unit, and the ability to achieve a flatter phase response over a wider frequency bandwidth. Typical phase shift error ranges from +/- 0.9° to +/- 5° over 8 binary increments with fast switching speed performance from 30 to 450 nsec. Each phase shifter is housed in a compact, environmentally sealed and feature field replaceable SMA package.
