Model Number PS-12-360-QQ1470 is a 1 to 2 GHz, Digitally Controlled Analog Phase Shifter with Capability for Phase Shifting from 0 to 360 Degrees. The unit consists of an analog phase shifter and a Digital-to-Analog Converter. Eight Logic Input lines allow 256 discrete values of phase.

The PMI Model Number PS-12-360-QQ1470 is an example of a form fit and function design to reproduce an old design. A more compact design is possible as Option M:

  • Option M, Option 12: 1 to 2 GHz, 3.5" x 2.0" x 0.5", with new driver board design
  • Option M, Option 24: 2 to 4 GHz, 3.0" x 2.0" x 0.5", with new driver board design
  • Option M, Option 48: 4 to 8 GHz, 3.0" x 2.0" x 0.5", with new driver board design
  • Option M, Option 818: 8 to 18 GHz, 2.0" x 3.0" x 0.5", shorter RF and new driver board design mounted in other direction

This particular unit operates over 1 to 2 GHz with 360° minimum phase shift. An 8 bit digital control sets the phase with 1.4° resolution and switching time is 200 nS. Options include 12 bit or analog voltage control. Mid band insertion loss is typically 4 dB and worst case insertion loss over the full band is 6 dB. Operating temperature is from -40° to 85° C.
