100 MHz OCXOs With Low Phase Noise (LPN) And Low G-Sensitivity (LGS)

By utilizing the self-manufactured noise-optimized TO-packaged 3rd and 5th overtone SC-cut crystals and noise-minimized electronic circuits, KVG’s engineers succeeded in designing new RF OCXOs that provide very low phase noise (LPN) and low G-sensitivity (LGS), extending the range of applications for those that require small packaged OCXOs.

These new Low Phase Noise RF OCXOs are dedicated to many communications technology applications that need excellent short term stability and phase noise performance – like reference clocks for microwave signal sources, satellite receivers, radar applications and many measurement and medical applications, such as magnetic resonance imaging. Due to the low G-sensitivity, the hermetically sealed package option is suitable for applications with demanding environmental requirements (shock, vibration, humidity, dust), as it is requested for several military or avionic applications. Two models are available:

O.30.802729-LF

The O.30.802729-LF is a high performance 100.000 MHz ‘Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator’ (OCXO) offering exceptional low phase noise (LPN) and tight frequency stability. The part comes in a robust, but still small, hermetically sealed CO8 metal can package that makes it also suitable for humid environmental conditions. Its low G-sensitivity (LGS) makes it a preferred part for vehicle mounted applications.

O.60.802658-LF

The O.60.802658-LF is a 100.000 MHz high performance ‘Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator’ (OCXO) offering low phase noise (LPN), low G-sensitivity (LGS), and tight frequency stability down to ±50 ppb (-20 °C to 70 °C). The part comes in a small size SMD package taped on reel that makes it suitable for automatic pick and place machine assembly.
