RAD Series - Radar Tracking Antenna Systems
Source: Cobham
The model RAD1601 is a 12 foot diameter
parabolic reflector and feed system designed
for precision radar tracking systems. Operating
in X-Band at 8.5 to 9.6 GHz, the feed
system utilizes an eight horn feed and
monopulse comparator network to provide
outputs for a 3-channel monopulse receiver

The reflector is of aluminum construction. It is manufactured in one section. The reflector includes provision to mount the cassegrain feed at the vertex and provision to interface to the support pedestal. The reflector surface is fabricated from stretch-formed aluminum sheet that accurately conforms to the parabolic contour.
